Motor Tour

The frost was so pretty on this post.
Like my hat? We only got out of the van for about 5 minutes here for pictures. St. Isaacs Cathedral is in the background across the frozen Neva.

Bridge across the Neva. The steam on the left is where there is a little water exposed.

St. Isaac's Cathedral.

St. Isaacs. This was about 2 blocks from where we stayed at the Petro Palace Hotel.

The Winter Palace, which also houses the Hermitage Museum.

The square in front of the Winter Palace is where many celebrations and events are held.

Church of the Resurection aka Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood

Vendor selling souveniers. It was below zero out. I don't know how he could stay out there.

Natalya, our guide and interpreter.
This was a small wooden house Peter the Great wanted. However, wood does not stand up, so it is enclosed inside this building now.

Smothney Cathedral. Beautiful, baby blue.

This glass building seemed out of place among all the other beautiful buildings. It is the new KGB building.
